During her early years Kylie was influenced by taking piano, tap and jazz lesson's. Early musical influences were ''The Beatles'', ''The Rolling Stones'' and ''Abba''. Even though Kylie was quite a shy child her mother had already decided they (both sister's)would not follow her footsteps and become dancers.''I was never very keen on them taking up dancing becauseit's such a hard life''.It was when Kylie turned 11 that her debut part in Australian television show ''The Sullivans'' began to pave an incredible rise to fame within the Australian television industry.

Kylie always balanced her studies with her acting career and it was after she passed her HSc that Kylie decided she was going to give acting a go...Naturally though the schoolgirl Kylie and the child star made it difficult for Kylie and her friends to adjust to the rising fame. In February 1986, Kylie auditioned and got the part of feisty, fiery girl next door mechanic Charlene Mitchell in the reletively new soap, ''Neighbours''. A deluge of fanmail and rising viewing figures saw them extend the 12 week contract and ''Charlene'' with on and off screen love ''Scott Robinson''(played by JasonDonovan) took the show to the number one ratings spot in Australia and the United Kingdom. A record 23.8 million witnessed there marriage and this for a daytime soap!! the frenzy caused by neighbours was also casuing kids to bunk off schools and take televisions with them just to keep up with the show. Looking back only Russell Crowe(Gladiator) and Guy Pearce(L.A.Confidential) have also found fame. It was no surprise that Kylie went on to win 5 logies(television awards) including Most Popular Television Actress the same year. In 1987 Kylie performed with the cast for a charity function and an opportunity arose to sing a solo of Little Eva's sixties smash ''The Locomotion''. The reception was crazy and Kylie was swept into the studio to record and release the song within days. The single was released and went to number one in Australia for 7 weeks during 1987. Kylie decided that this was a direction that was now calling her, so in 1988 when Kylie finished filming her last Neighbours scenes, she flew to England to meet with reknowned producers Stock, Aitken+ Waterman.

In 1989 a second album was released, ''Enjoy Yourself'' and Kylie decided that she was missing her acting and the lifestyle that entailed so she began lookign for a dceent Australian script, Kylie wanted a small film to try and find her feet in the movie world. the problem was/is Kylie is such a huge star within the music scene the media were on the case and made her acting debut asuccess but also a carefully watched baptism. The character ''Lola'' in the ''The Delinquents'' with Charlie Schlatter told the stroy of a young girl growing up in the 50's. With all the fresh material from the two Deconstruction albums kylie had neglected to tour for nearly 8 years and her fans were eager to see the new tour scheduled for the summer of 1998, ''Intimate and Live''. In total Kylie played main venues in the UK before heading home to a sellout 7 minute crowd. It was the first chance Kylie had at creating a tour from scratch. WIth the death of ex Michael Hutchence a few months earlier it was just the tonic to re-produce the excitement that the fans knew she possessed. The whole period is best contrasted with the lyrics to the opening album and tour track lyrics. ''Too Far'': Caught up in this house, trapped my own self in the snare of my mind, no more space than a slither, what I'd give for a deep breath inside where the chaos has me captive, where theres no exit signs, to fuel this stupuid fire with these feelings of mine.'' Her homecoming was full of credibility and the reviews were sensational. Kylie was back with her fans, it had been too long.After the tour finished in Sydney Kylie decided on compiling a book of photographics images with some comments from fellow stars including Bono, Boy George and Julie Burchill.The Book promo titled ''evidence'' was ''a valid way at looking at my career'' says Kylie. I attended the signing at Selfridges in November 1999 and came face to face for the first time with the lady of pop. And so a deal was done with Parlophone and EMI, Kylie stayed with Mushroom Records Australia (since 1987). The direction and the influence would be disco and dance. Kylie continued to write and input on the album and she also worked with long time writer friend Steve Anderson. Her most publicised work though was with Robbie Williams who had the duet ''Kids'' which reached No.2 with the camp anthem ''Your Disco Needs You'' and ''Loveboat'' included. It was though ''Spinning Around'' which debuted at No.1 in Australia and the UK which gave Kylie her 6th number one and a return to high sales as Light Years also entred the charts at No.1 (Aus. No.2 (UK). It went on to sell well over 2 million and confirmed to all the critics the loosely named comeback queen was on top of the pop throne again.More press pages were granted to Kylie's gold hotpants that anything else, even though they are a well known piece of wardrobe for our little minx. Men weer drooling and MTV could not get enough of the videos. The album was also a great reason to launch a huge European and Australasian tour. ''On A Night Like This'' broke all records in Sydney and infact all records for any tour ever in Australia.No other act in history to date has played as many shows.The show also toured the UK and Europe and it was the first time for many to witness Kylie live, since 1991.Many of her newer and revisiting fans had not witnessed Intimate and Live so when they did attend, they were blown away.The tour won Kylie awards and also crtitical acclaim. It seems in a world where many artists mime to backing tracks, Kylie professional approach was now seen to be something to admire.

Light Years produced four top 10 UK singles in total and kept Kylie busy up until Spring 2001. The momentum was in full motion and the writing for her 8th Studio album had commenced nicknamed ''Coming of Age'', ''Fever'' was to be a journey through the early electronic period in the 80's. Kylie's early recollections of Grace Jones, Synthesiser fuelled disco.The tour was a great arena for her to showcase a new song ''Can't Get You Out Of My Head''. The reception was great but who knew that this song would launch kylie into the biggest stage of her career to date? I thought it sounded great and her vocals delivered perfectly but America, the country which rarely listen to anything foreign. a country where theres 17 lookalikes and soundalikes Britneys launched every day. Well itis about time that they got the opportunity to hear Kylie and I have a feling that in 2002 The whole world will be taken over by Miss Minogue. The strangeness to it all though does not make me happy for this. In a business sense it is wonderful, but in a selfish way aving Kylie for so long in a smaller world was quite superb. Kylie may now just become a prescence on my television screen, and after seeing her live many times it is a sad loss.

So as Kylie moved into 2001 with a successful tour and an album due for release in September there was just enough time to film her part in the third feature film by Australia's Baz Luhrman. His follow up to the smash hit Romeo+Juliet was the bohemian love story encased within the Moulin Rouge. Starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mcgregor, Kylie was cast as the green fairy. At first Luhrmann had used an animation but once it was deemed not good enough he thought that only Kylie could be the fairy. They organised time off and she rushed to Australia to film her section, including the operatic version of ''The Sound Of Music''. The absinthe fairy is actually a real logo and there is a history behind the fairy which delves deeper into the Moulin Rouge. The film has already received Golden Globesland Nicole Kidman an oscar nomination. A successful return to the big screen for Kylie...Maybe there a future Baz script that will fall Kylie's way...we can but hope.

''Can't Get You Out Of My Head'' was dominating every chart in the world, and spending it's 12th week on top of the Worldpop global chart, it was more of a celebration.Very few artists get given there own primetime show and the press were reporting that Madonn'a had said her kids were in love with the new song.It seems in 2001 no-one could get Kylie out of their heads. A performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards left crowds in Berlin breathless and subsequent awards were won at the Top Of The Pop awards in Manchester and4 nominations for 2002 Brit Awards. The song has topped charts all over the world and ''Fever'' has already sold in excess of 3 million copies worldwide after just 3 months of sales. The Kylie star has never shone so brightly. On a more personal level Kylie has suffered from emotional exhaustion this year due to the punishing workloads and promotional schedules and her dad was also diagnosed with Cancer, which it seems he has beaten.

One of Spain's foremost leading ladies of the 1990s, Penélope Cruz has managed to make her mark with international audiences as well. Born in Madrid on April 28, 1974, Cruz was one of three children of a merchant and a hairdresser. After years of intensive study in ballet and jazz, she broke into acting in 1992. When her mother gave her the ever popular ''you live by my rules as long as you live under my roof'' speech Jennifer took that as her cue to break out on her own. Not having anywhere else to live, she took up residence in the building where she took her dance classes. A year and a half of auditioning with no success brought Jennifer to the verge of a breakdown. But salvation would come in the form of a tour that sent her dancing across Japan. Before this, she had auditioned to be a ''Fly Girl'' for the show ''In Living Color'' but she had been turned down. Upon returning from Japan, she received a call from ''In Living Color'' asking her to audition again. This time she made the cut and it was off to Hollywood. She didn't really enjoy her time on ''In Living Color'', as she longed for an acting career that would put her in the spotlight. Her first television job as an actress, on the Fox series ''South Central'' came her way because the producer of the show was married to one of the other fly girls, and he took notice of Jennifer during a special Fox aired about the Fly Girls. ''South Central'' only survived one season, but she quickly resurfaced on television screens appearing as ''Melinda Lopez'' first in the short lived ''Second Chances'' series, then ''Hotel Malibu.'' In 1995 she jumped onto the big screen in her first major role, opposite Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson in ''Money Train.'' Lohan started in show business as a child fashion model for magazine advertisement and television commercials. At age 10, she began her acting career in a soap opera; at 11, she made her motion picture debut by playing identical twins in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Lindsay Lohan rose to stardom with her leading roles in the films Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded. Lindsay Lohan returned to Disney for Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), the fifth film in the Herbie series. She then appeared in Chapter 27 as a John Lennon fan who befriends Mark David Chapman (Jared Leto) on the day he murders the singer. It began filming in New York on January 9, 2006, and had wrapped by March. No release date has been announced.

Lindsay Lohan was voted #10 on the list of "100 Sexiest Women" by readers of FHM. Maxim placed her at #3 on its 2006 Hot 100 list. In 2007, Lohan placed at #1 on the Maxim "Hot 100". On July 24, 2007, Lindsay Lohan - in the wake of her arrest withdrew from a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her starring role as a stripper in the film I Know Who Killed Me. The film premiered "to an abysmal $3.5 million" and earned Lohan two nominations for worst actress at the Golden Raspberry Awards. She came in first and second, tying with herself. A popular weekly magazine quoted the head of a major film studio as saying, "Her career was over long before she had these troubles... Right now, she'd have to pay a studio to get herself into a movie." The article continues, "There's the L.A. bar scene that serves underage stars and Hollywood's compulsion to turn child actors into products, plus a frenzied 21st-century media culture that has made Lindsay Lohan and other celebs into exotic prey in flashbulb cages." ABC News quoted publicist Michael Levine as calling Lohan unemployable "for the next 18 months." The head of a talent agency agreed, noting that her personal issues likely made the insurance and other costs required for any film production to proceed prohibitively expensive. James Robinson, the producer of Georgia Rule, stated he would still like to work with her. "She's a good person who's making some bad choices. She needs time to get the proper medical care, but when she's in the right emotional state, I'd put her in a movie right away.... She's probably one of the most talented young women in the movie business today."

Lindsay Lohan plans to travel and study in Europe after leaving rehab. Her mother told Us Weekly that "She wants to go abroad and study in school. We'll see what happens." In the February 25, 2008 Spring Fashion edition of New York, Lohan re-created Marilyn Monroe's final photo shoot, known as the Last Sitting, including nudity. Her mother said doing the photo shoot was an "honor." Upon leaving rehab in 2007, Lindsay's involvement in the tango bio-pic Dare to Love Me took centerstage in the young starlet's life. Though, it is unknown as to when the film is expected to be in theatres. In late February 2008, it was announced that Lindsay Lohan would be joining the cast of Ye Olde Times alongside Jack Black. The film is slated to start filming in April 2008. A popular source has also reported Lindsay's involvement in the movie Manson Girls playing cult member Nancy Pitman in a movie about Charles Manson.

Hoping to become a "triple threat" (actor/model/singer) like her idol, Ann-Margret, Lindsay Lohan began by showcasing her singing talents through her films. For the Freaky Friday soundtrack, she sang the closing theme, "Ultimate"; she also recorded four songs for the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen soundtrack. Producer Emilio Estefan, Jr. signed Lindsay Lohan to a five-album production deal in 2002. "The minute I heard her sing, I knew she was gifted," he said, "and [she] has an incredible ability to connect with her audience. I am very excited to be working with her." Lohan � who said she was "extremely excited" � added, "I am surrounded by a group of very talented people." Two years later, Lindsay Lohan signed a recording contract with Casablanca Records, headed by "diva-maker" Tommy Mottola.

Her debut album, Speak, was released in December 2004, and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200. By early 2005, it was certified Platinum. Though primarily a pop-rock album, Speak was introduced with the single "Rumors", described by Rolling Stone as "a bass-heavy, angry club anthem". Its sexually suggestive video reached number one on MTV's Total Request Live and was nominated for Best Pop Video at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. "Rumors" eventually earned a Gold certification in America. The album spawned the second single "Over" and the third single "First", which was featured in Lohan's 2005 film Herbie: Fully Loaded. The music video also featured Herbie the Love Bug. Both music videos were directed by Jake Nava, who also directed the music video for "Rumors."

"[W]ith just two hit films under her belt, Lohan decided it was time to turn [herself] into a multimedia, cross-platform star," wrote Stephen Thomas Erlewine of All Music Guide. "And so Speak was recorded quickly and rushed into the stores". He called her music "a blend of old-fashioned, Britney-styled dance-pop and the anthemic, arena rock sound pioneered by fellow tween stars Hilary Duff and Ashlee Simpson. [However,] Lohan stands apart from the pack with her party-ready attitude and her husky voice".

In December 2005, her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart, but fell under the top 100 within six weeks. Reviews were unfavorable; critics called the album a "slick pop production." Slant magazine called it "contrived ... for all the so-called weighty subject matter, there's not much meat on these bones." Still, A Little More Personal (Raw) was certified Gold on January 18, 2006. The music video for the album's first single, "Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)" � directed by Lindsay Lohan and featuring the acting debut of her sister, Ali � was a dramatization of the pain Lohan says her family has suffered at the hands of her father. She said "It's kind of offensive... I hope he sees the positive side of the video rather than the negative."

The album's second single was supposed to be "I Live for the Day." Radio promos singles were pressed and released and sent to radio stations. However due to Lindsay Lohan's schedule, she was unable to promote or support the single as she did with her previous efforts. Eventually, since the single received absolutely no radio airplay or support, and the disappointing chart position and sales of the album, Casablanca Records cancelled "I Live for the Day" and moved forward with "If It�s Alright" as the second single. However plans for releasing "If It�s Alright" were later cancelled, as well as all other singles and promotion with the album. Therefore, A Little More Personal (Raw) was not as successful as her previous album, Speak. A Little More Personal (Raw), with little promotion, was still certified gold by the RIAA on January 18, 2006 after debuting on the Billboard 200 at #20, while "Speak" went platinum after debuting at #4. Lindsay Lohan has promised a third studio album on multiple occasions. The album will be released in the middle or end of 2008. She is working with J. R. Rotem, Stargate and Ne-Yo. Lohan (who initially appeared frequently on PETA's Worst Dressed List for wearing fur) publicly announced she was no longer "tolerant" of fur and was subsequently cut from the list. When educated about the controversial process of fur farming, Lindsay Lohan took a stand against the industry, later telling Dan Matthews of her plan "to weed the real fur from [her] wardrobe."

Lohan has been a frequent attendee at various nightclubs and social events - at times being photographed with nightlife notables such as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Responding to the media's portrayal of Lindsay Lohan as a "party girl", she commented, "People say, 'Oh, she goes out and she parties'. No, we are just going out and having fun." Lohan's car accidents in 2004-2006 were widely reported. The first, August 2004 in Studio City, California, was a minor rear-ender, though the victims threatened to sue her in 2005. Another, October 2005 in West Hollywood, occurred when Lindsay Lohan struck a van. Police determined that the van's driver made an illegal U-turn. November 2006 in Los Angeles, Lohan suffered minor injuries when a paparazzo who was following her for a photograph hit her car. Police called the crash intentional, but prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to file criminal charges. When VH1 named Lohan "Big 'It' Girl" for its 'Big' in '05 Awards in December, it was, Lohan quipped, "because being Big in '05 means getting in three car crashes in one year, people!".

Lindsay Lohan was hospitalized twice in January 2006. In the first incident, she cut herself on a broken teacup while in London; in the second incident, she suffered an asthma attack while in Miami, Florida. In an interview published in the March 2006 issue of Allure, Lohan said she hoped to be taken seriously as an actress, adding, "I hate it when people call me a teen queen." She addressed the numerous romantic rumors ("I know now that I don't need a boyfriend.") and her weight loss ("I will say that I went through a phase. I lost weight when I was in the hospital, and then I wanted to keep it off."). Lindsay Lohan said 2005 "felt like five lifetimes because I've grown up a lot". At around the same time, she is reported as having looked into the teachings of Kabbalah Centre, saying, "All of us need something. You have to grab on to whatever gets you through."

On July 25, 2006, the filming of Georgia Rule was delayed while Lohan was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment of overheating and dehydration, her third hospital visit in 2006. In a letter to Lindsay Lohan and others associated with the production that was later made public, James G. Robinson, CEO of the film's production company, Morgan Creek Productions, wrote:

"You and your representatives have told us that your various late arrivals and absences from the set have been the result of illness; today we were told it was 'heat exhaustion'. We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called 'exhaustion'.

Lohan's fourth 2006 hospital visit occurred in September when she was treated at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City after breaking her wrist. On January 18, 2007, Lindsay Lohan checked herself in to the Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility in West Hollywood's Laurel Canyon area. Through her representative, she issued a statement saying, "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health." In a later interview, Lohan said, "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab." But she added that, even after regularly attending meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous, "I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict."

Lindsay Lohan was ranked #3 on the Forbes list of Young Hollywood Top-Earners with $6 million. On May 26, 2007, Lohan lost control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and struck a curb. Police found "additional contraband" in the car - which was tentatively identified as a "usable" amount of cocaine. After receiving treatment for minor injuries, Lindsay Lohan was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Two days later, Lindsay Lohan entered the Promises Treatment Centers rehabilitation facility in Malibu, staying for 45 days. A week later, on July 20, Lohan, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered herself to be fingerprinted and photographed. She was released on her own recognizance and assigned a court date of August 24.

In the pre-dawn hours of July 24, 2007, the Santa Monica police received a 911 call from a car being driven by Michelle Peck - whose daughter, Tracie Rice had left her employment as Lindsay Lohan's personal assistant several hours previously. Peck reported that she was being chased by a white GMC and feared for her safety. The police later found Peck and Lohan having a "heated debate" in the parking lot of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Lindsay Lohan refused to take a breathalyzer test, but agreed to other field sobriety tests. After failing these tests, she was taken to a police station where her blood alcohol level was tested at between 0.12 and 0.13 percent - above the California legal limit of 0.08 percent. While conducting a search, the police found a small amount of cocaine in her pocket.

Lindsay Lohan was booked on felony charges of possession of cocaine and transportation of a narcotic - in addition to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. A few hours after Lohan's release on $25,000 bail, her attorney, Blair Berk, issued a statement:
� Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM ["Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor,"] bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care.�

Access Hollywood host Billy Bush said he received an email from Lindsay Lohan on July 24 in which she stated:

�I am innocent... did not do drugs they're not mine. I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin's mom. I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy.�

CBS News reported that some days later, Lohan checked into Cirque Lodge, a drug rehab, alcohol and addiction treatment center in Sundance, Utah. This represented Lindsay Lohan's third rehab program in 2007. On August 14, 2007, Tracie Rice filed a lawsuit against Lohan at Los Angeles County Superior Court for assault and negligence for the incident of July 24. On August 23, 2007, it was announced that Lindsay Lohan would serve one day in jail and 10 days community service for both her DUI arrests. She will also be on probation for a maximum of three years. Lohan was also ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol education program, pay hundreds of dollars in fines and must complete a three-day county coroner program in which she�ll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunk drivers. �It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs,� Lindsay Lohan said in a statement released by publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik. Rachael was born October 4, 1979, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated from high school in Spring 1998. Rachael got her first acting role when she was around seven in a non-speaking part in a public service announcement encouraging adults to become foster parents. Rachael began doing modeling advertisements at the age of ten, and probably her best known for doing spots for Target and Milkbone. She also appeared in a now-famous anti-drug TV spot in which, armed with a frying pan, she bashed her way through a kitchen to show the disastrous effects of heroin.

On reaching L.A., Cook bypassed the wannabe stage and nailed her first audition (for the part of a budding entrepreneur in Baby-Sitters Club, The (1995)).
